Kids Capoeira classes are taught by Contra-Mestre Meirelou at CBAU Bondi. Children have fun developing their potential in flexibility and strength and gain self-confidence as they become more skilled in elements of acrobatics, dance and singing, which are all parts of the game.

Toddler classes (2 - 5 years) are also taught by Contra-Mestre Meirelou at CBAU Bondi. The aim of this class is to create a surrounding in Capoeira for toddlers and through play the children expand on skills for a healthy life. The objective is not to teach the “game of Capoeira” itself, but through play and moves to exercise a “deceived Capoeira." Without the compromise to Capoeira techniques, skills like; fine and gross motor, balance, rhythm, coordination, attention span and social skills are developed. Parents are welcome to participate with their children in the activities. The classes are held in a safe and friendly environment with safety equipment and musical instruments.

Short courses of Capoeira can also be offered as a part of your school sport programs and as an alternative cultural experience. Contra-Mestre Meirelou’s program has been very successful in public and private schools like Double Bay Public School, Bronte Public School and Montessori School in Bondi Beach.
