The Australian Dance Festival (12th – 14th June 2009, Sydney Olympic Park) is an exciting new event which is set to rock the Australian dance industry.

The International College of Capoeira (ICC) establishment is as a result of the increased demand for qualified Capoeira coaches in Australia. The current courses will provide all learners with the necessary tools, methods and techniques to become a specialised Capoeira instructor. Learners at the ICC will acquire the skills to safely and effectively implement, coordinate and deliver activities and programs specific to capoeira to individuals, groups and various other institutions.

To wrap up the final week of an exciting and eventful festival, a series of intensive workshops were held by the guests at the Surry Hills academy, followed by the 13th Capoeira Brasil Grading and 5th Capoeira Competition held at Darling Harbour, Sydney. Also, a kids workshop and the 7th Kids Grading were held at Bondi Pavilion, hosted by Contra-Mestre Meirelou. Congratulations to all the new belts!
